When you stick our QR code on your vehicle, your phone number and personal identity are never displayed to anyone who scans it.
1. Information We Collect
To provide and manage your vehicle QR protection service, we may collect the following details when you register, purchase a sticker, or activate your tag:
- Personal Identification: Your full name, email address, and mobile phone number (used solely for authenticating your account and routing privacy-protected calls/messages).
- Vehicle Information: Vehicle registration number, model, color, and optional document expiry reminders (insurance, pollution).
- Shipping Information: Shipping recipient name, delivery address, city, state, and postal pincode when you purchase physical QR stickers.
- Payment Information: All online payments are securely processed through Razorpay. We never store your credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or net banking passwords on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively to:
- Generate and deliver your personalized vehicle QR code stickers.
- Facilitate anonymous number-masked calling and digital messaging between scanners and vehicle owners without revealing real phone numbers.
- Send automated transaction updates, order shipping confirmations, tracking links, and delivery notifications.
- Provide vehicle security notifications when someone scans your sticker or alerts you regarding parked obstruction.
3. Zero-Knowledge Number Masking & Caller Privacy
When someone scans your vehicle QR code, they interact with a cloud-protected web portal. If they press "Call Owner", our virtual telephony bridge connects the call to your mobile without ever displaying your actual phone number to the caller. Likewise, the car owner never has their personal digits published on paper or glass.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party or marketing agency. Information is shared only with strictly verified operational service providers:
- Logistics Partners: Delivery carriers (India Post, Delhivery, Bluedart, DTDC) to fulfill sticker shipments to your address.
- Payment Gateway: Razorpay Software Ltd. to verify and complete digital transactions securely.
- Telephony & Email Providers: Secure telecom cloud bridges and SMTP infrastructure for sending transactional alerts and anonymized call routing.
5. Data Security
We employ enterprise-grade security protocols, including HTTPS (TLS/SSL encryption), salted password hashing (BCrypt), role-based database access, and continuous automated audits to protect your data against unauthorized access or disclosure.
6. Your Rights & Control
You retain full control over your data. By logging into your RegisterMyCar dashboard, you can:
- Update or change your linked phone number, email, or vehicle details anytime.
- Temporarily disable call receiving or message alerts for any of your vehicles.
- Request complete account deletion and data removal by writing to our support team.
